Looking for the perfect Muskoka escape for a couple! Look no further! This self contained one bedroom cabin has everything you need! Located on Ada Lake just minutes from Port Carling and a short drive to the town of Bala, this fully equipped cottage has its own dock and a small lake perfect for swimming or small non-motorized water crafts so you can get out on the water and enjoy exploring. At the cabin, there is a BBQ deck and a fully equipped kitchen for the home chef! In the evenings enjoy watching a show on your flat screen TV with satellite service in the well appointed living room. The cottage is also equipped with an ensuite washer and dryer plus a 3 pc washroom. Come visit Ada Lake and enjoy all Muskoka has to offer!
Located just minutes from Port Carling, the hub of the Muskoka Lakes with it’s trendy shops and restaurants plus popular ice cream shops, this cottage is the perfect spot for your summer vacation! On Thursdays there is a farmer’s market in town. Tours of the Big Three Lakes depart Port Carling daily. Or simply kick back and relax! The natural beauty of the Canadian shield is evident at Ada Lake, and the nearby towns have much to offer the visitor with hamlets and endless recreational opportunities.

This quaint 1 bedroom cottage has a living room with satellite TV, 1 bedroom, a 3 pc bathroom with shower and a well equipped kitchen.

Ada Lake Great location, lovely cottage!
This cottage is set in a nice location and is easily accessible to both Bala and Port Carling. There are plenty of areas to sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding woodland area. We especially liked having access to a private dock to sit out on. The host was very friendly and helpful and the cottage was well equipped for cooking. One thing to note is that the bedroom is quite small and there is not much space to hang clothes as there is no wardrobe. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Perfect location
Perfect location. Many places to sit and enjoy the deck and the dock. Our host was great and very helpful. Great shower with plenty of hot water and the washer and dryer was a plus. Cottage is well stocked with all your needs. Highly recommend

great cottage and location!
We really loved our stay at this cottage! The cottage itself was perfect for two people. We really appreciated the extra blankets and lots of towels!! Having the satellite TV was a bonus on bad weather days. When it was nice outside, we spent most of our time down on the dock- it is a small, quiet lake with little boat traffic. It is deep enough off the dock to jump right in! Having the paddle boat and an umbrella at the dock was a bonus too. The location was great as well (5-10 mins away from Port Carling) so we could pick up groceries and supplies if needed. We would love to stay here again!

Relaxing week at the property. The lake was quiet and the neighbouring cottage owners are friendly. Good air flow through the cottage so the lack of AC was not missed.

A Beautiful Quaint Cottage
A beautiful quaint cottage (perfect for 2!) on Ada Lake- a small and serene lake filled with wildlife and gorgeous views. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Arlene who is very friendly and made herself available should we need anything (she lives in a cottage on the lake just a stones throw away). We had a lovely week and enjoyed all the benefits of by the lake living. The brand new dock allowed us to spend a vast majority of our time right at the water and watched the wildlife come and go, we took advantage of the paddleboat and toured the small lake with ease. Would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple looking for a nice relaxing getaway or someone single looking for some R&R. Thank you for such a wonderful week!

The perfect location in Muskoka – a quiet lake for swimming and boating and sunsets…a huge dock for sunning and relaxing and eating outdoors….A well stocked kitchen, a spacious cabin for two and shower, laundry, and satellite tv to make your vacation complete.

My husband and I had a very peaceful and comfortable eight-day stay at Arlene’s cottage. The house is nestled among trees, it is the perfect size for a couple (or solo visitor!), full kitchen (complete with cookware, cooking utensils, tableware, cutlery, dish towels and bottled water); very comfortable Queen size bed with soft sheets and blankets; plenty of bath and beach towels; very clean bathroom (though if you are taller than 5′-7″, you may need to bend at the knees to be under the shower head); powerful gas BBQ (with grilling utensils); great wrap-around deck with table and chairs to enjoy the BBQ; sturdy dock with lounge chairs, table and umbrella; and lots of birds, squirrels and chipmunks to share the beautiful views with! The dock on the lake was where we spent most of our time. It was calm and tranquil! We also took both peddle boats out around the lake (the yellow one is easier to maneuver than the blue one). The location is also great. Centred between Bala and Port Carling and very close to hiking trails, ice cream, restaurants and shopping (for our two rainy days when it was too wet to lounge on the dock). We highly recommend Arlene’s cottage to stay and would return again. Many thanks Arlene!
